InSysBio expert modelers Dr Tatiana Karelina and Dr Evgeny Metelkin will give the course “Modeling for systems biology and biomedicine” at the Faculty of physics, Lomonosov Moscow State University. The course will give an introduction to quantitative systems pharmacology (QSP) modeling and summary of general principles of development of mathematical models of biological systems, such as enzyme kinetics, metabolic and signaling pathways and cell dynamics. InSysBio modelers will show students how to describe pharmacokinetics and how to implement interaction between drugs and targets in the model. The course is based on cases of various modeling approaches for biomedical and pharmacological problems solving.

About InSysBio

InSysBio is a Quantitative Systems Pharmacology (QSP) company located in Moscow, Russia (INSYSBIO LLC) and Edinburgh, UK (INSYSBIO UK LIMITED). InSysBio was founded in 2004 and has an extensive track record of helping pharmaceutical companies to make right decisions on the critical stages of drug research and development by application of QSP modeling. InSysBio’s innovative QSP approach has already become a part of the drug development process implemented by our strategic partners: there are more than 100 completed projects in collaboration with leaders of pharmaceutical industry. One must activate amyloid degradation as soon as possible to prevent the appearance of the protein plaques in brain under Alzheimer’s conditions. This conclusion was reached by scientists from the biotechnology company InSysBio, who created the first computer model of the disease. The final part of the work has been recently published in CPT: Pharmacometrics & Systems Pharmacology.
